COVID-19 Policies

It has always been our utmost priority to keep patients and staff safe and healthy. In an effort to do so during the COVID-19 pandemic, we ask that you comply with the following instructions on the day of your in-person visits with us:

  1. If you have experienced any of the following symptoms within the last two weeks, we ask that you please let us know: fever, shortness of breath, sore throat, red or purple spots on your toes, or known contact with someone who has recently tested positive for COVID-19.
  2. If you are ill, please stay home and consider a virtual visit.
  3. Please wear a mask to your appointment. If you do not have a mask, please consider using a scarf, bandana, or homemade mask to cover your nose and mouth, as facial coverings are required in our facility.
  4. Please do not have anyone accompany you to your appointment. Exceptions include parents/guardians of patients under the age of 18, and caretakers for patients who require them.
  5. Please note there will be separate check-in areas for each provider. Follow the signs regarding where to check in for your visit.
  6. We have designated areas for you to wait that are marked with brightly covered tape; the purpose of this is to promote social distancing, so you may wait safely six feet apart from other individuals.
  7. If you are a new patient or have not had an appointment in three years or more, you must fill out new patient forms in advance to limit the amount of time spent in the office.
  8. While we have implemented numerous proactive safety measures to keep all patients, spa clients, and staff safe, we ask that all patrons complete this waiver prior to upcoming visits.

For your peace of mind, please note that we have made the following changes to our workflow to reduce the risk of COVID-19 exposures, among many others:

  1. We are offering virtual visits for many types of appointments, should you feel more comfortable staying home.
  2. We have increased our sanitation procedures, which were already exemplary.
  3. We have adjusted how we sanitize every room, seat, and door knob after every visit.
  4. We temporarily closed our spa, which is NOW OPEN and complying with the Commonwealth of Virginia’s mandates for gradual reopening.
  5. We limit the number of staff in the office at a time and have staff working remotely.
  6. We are limiting the number of exam rooms we are using at a time.
  7. We are limiting the areas of the office that are open to the public.
  8. We have canceled in-person meetings in our office to limit exposures.
  9. We have removed excess items in the office, such as the pillows from the waiting room, to reduce the risk of contact from surfaces.
  10. We are requiring all patients, clients, and staff to wear masks in the facility.
  11. We are not allowing patients to have other individuals accompany them to their appointments.
  12. We have marked the floors to designate where individuals should stand in our reception to keep everyone six feet apart.
  13. We are requiring patients to fill out all forms prior to visits, rather than in waiting areas, to limit the time they spend in our office.
  14. We are screening patients prior to their visits in an effort to limit COVID-19 exposures.
