How are Warts treated?
There are several ways of treating warts. All treatments cause some amount of irritation and inflammation, and none can be absolutely guaranteed to cure every wart.
Liquid nitrogen is an extremely cold liquid that is put on the wart until it is frozen. A blister may develop within a few hours.
Salicylic acid medications, such as Mediplast, are available without a prescription.
Shave Removal: in some cases, this may be the best form of treatment to remove the wart. This requires a small local injection of anesthesia and then the wart can simply be shaved off with a blade.
