Dr. Kaitlyn Mula Schiavone is a board-certified dermatologist and a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. She received her Bachelor of Science from Tufts University, where she graduated with honors. She spent time as a bench scientist before receiving her medical degree from the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Dr. Schiavone was accepted by the F. Edward Hebert Health Professions Scholarship Program and commissioned as an officer in the United States Navy in medical school. After completing an internship at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, she served as Senior Medical Officer aboard the naval warship USS San Antonio. Dr. Schiavone then returned to Walter Reed to complete her dermatology residency and served on the hospital’s ethics committee.
Following residency, she practiced as a staff dermatologist and resident clinical educator at Naval Hospital Jacksonville in Florida. She also served as President of the Jacksonville Dermatologic Society.
Dr. Schiavone is passionate about offering her expertise and experience in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology and is dedicated to treating patients of all ages. She firmly believes that every patient is unique and is praised for her ability to combine preventative care with individually customized treatment plans to help patients in reaching their specific goals.
