Nadia Herrera, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant. She graduated with honors from the University of South Alabama with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry. She earned her Masters of Science in Surgical Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, which provides extensive surgical training in addition to a comprehensive medical curriculum.
In addition to having years of experience as a physician assistant in medical and cosmetic dermatology, Nadia also has also worked in surgical oncology and plastic surgery practices specializing in reconstructive surgery. Nadia’s surgical background has fostered a passion for surgery, particularly in the area of skin cancer removal, as well as surgical removal of other skin lesions.
As a certified and licensed physician assistant, Nadia works closely with Dr. Lily Talakoub and the rest of the team to provide care in the diagnosis and treatment of all general dermatologic conditions. Her surgical and aesthetic experience, love of medicine and commitment to quality patient care make her a vital part of the McLean Dermatology and Skincare Center team. Nadia is also well versed in non-surgical cosmetic procedures, including laser treatments for skin resurfacing and injectables, such as Botox, Dysport, and fillers.
Nadia is an active member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA) and the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA).
