A board-certified dermatologist at McLean & Potomac Dermatology & Skincare Center, Dr. Colon is part of a team of physicians redefining what exceptional dermatologic care looks like, blending academic excellence, technical sophistication, and personalization with remarkable ease. Whether treating complex medical skin conditions, guiding cosmetic transformations, or caring for children and families, she approaches every interaction with a calm confidence that immediately puts patients at ease.
She earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Florida, majoring in Biology with a minor in Health Disparities, before attending the University of Florida College of Medicine. It was during medical school, while helping establish a free dermatology clinic for underserved patients, that her philosophy of medicine fully took shape: world-class care should feel personal, human, and accessible.
Dr. Colon completed her Internal Medicine internship at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital and her Dermatology residency at Howard University Hospital, with additional training at Children’s National Medical Center, the Washington DC VA Medical Center, and Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. The breadth of that training gave her comprehensive expertise across medical, surgical, cosmetic, and pediatric dermatology, caring for both children and adults.
She has authored numerous research publications in respected medical and cosmetic dermatology journals and textbooks. Fluent in English and Spanish, Dr. Colon is especially passionate about creating an exceptional patient care experience: ensuring every individual feels heard, respected, and confident in their skin.
